Solidarity in the City


In the beginning of June, I was approached by Shayna Mace, Editor of BRAVA Magazine, to do some Feature work surrounding the protests after the murder of George Floyd, the Black Lives Matter movement and the climate in Madison, WI. I had the absolute honor and privilege to photograph 3 dynamic women and a family, all with powerful points of view to share in their Feature interviews. Community members Lilada Gee, Alex Lindenmeyer, Alexandra Nieves Reyes and Kelly and Will Boone were all include in this powerful piece. On August 5, 2020 it went live online and it felt like my baby was finally delivered after a lot of blood, sweat and tears! (Ok, well maybe it's not exactly the same...)
